The last democratic government

This second election, marred by voter fraud and with much of the Smallholders’ Party leadership removed, results in the Communist Party finishing first with 22.2%. The democratic parties, however, still constitute a majority together, therefore another coalition government is formed, with democratic institutions under increasing threat.
